So, for those who have not visited our house - we had a sliding glass door that did not close all of the way and had to be locked with a broom stick!
It had so much weather stripping around it that it closed at an angle and the locking mechanism could not be met. In the winter, you could feel the cold air coming in from outside and in the summer, you could feel the cold air being sucked outside instead of cooling the house. I am pretty sure that is how most of the bugs were getting into the house.

Not only does it completely close...it has a lockable screen, is energy efficient, and is generally more aesthetically pleasing.
