To start this blog, I would like to introduce everyone to our new home. We purchased our house at the end of July and have already done some reconstruction. Ashlee and I are quickly learning we actually know quite a bit about remodeling, and that we are capable of a lot of things.

For instance, take a look at us breaking down our wall in our dinning room. In an effort to open up our living/dinning room area, we took the large, obtrusive "L" wall and turned it into a great looking half-wall.

Since we were in the process of opening up our dinning/living room area, we figured we would open the kitchen/dinning room area as well. We only had a little "peep hole" between our kitchen and dinning room when we first moved in (which turned out to be the perfect height for some of our vertically challenged friends, but completely useless to us). Ashlee and I decided to sacrifice some cabinet space in our kitchen to create a larger opening, the result is a great window between the kitchen and dinning room.
